Why is Tire Safety so Important?
- Worn-out tires are 3 times more likely to be involved in a car crash than tires with sufficient tread depth
- 12% of all passenger vehicles in the US (model years 2004-2011) have at least one underinflated tire that can cause accidents
- Keeping car tires at the recommended pressure levels can improve gas mileage by up to 3%
- Properly inflating tires can save up to 11 cents per gallon on gas

Maintaining our tires is crucial to prevent accidents, keep our loved ones safe and reduce operating costs. That's why during National Tire Safety Week 2023, we at Anyline decided to partner with the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association to promote tire safety. As part of the initiative, the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association encourages drivers to play their “P.A.R.T.” in tire care. The acronym stands for pressure, alignment, rotation and tread, and is meant to encourage drivers to regularly check on these aspects of their tires. Anyline also seeks to motivate drivers to stay on top of tire recalls. With computer vision and AI-enabled technology, our mobile scanning solution allows tire service centers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers to quickly capture tire, automotive and customer information from any mobile device.

An Anyline Success Story
Discount Tire partners with Anyline
Discount Tire is the world’s largest independent retailer of tires and wheels, with almost 1,100 stores across the United States. Every day, thousands of Americans rely on Discount Tire to provide them the very best retail experience and ensure their tire needs are taken care of.
As drivers returned to the work in greater numbers following the coronavirus pandemic, Discount Tire wanted to ensure their technicians had the latest technology on hand to deliver an unrivaled tire inspection process.
Anyline worked closely with Discount Tire to create an entirely new computer vision solution that could scan the tire DOT number in real-time with a phone camera. Over many months, and using thousands of images of tires, Anyline developed a DOT scanner, which can capture the 17 black digits on the tire sidewall faster and more accurately than the human eye.
